Some airline experts are beginning to ask when plane fares will become too high for financially strapped passengers, who Thursday learned that major U.S. carriers are tacking on yet another fuel surcharge.

Atlanta-based Delta, United and American have added a $20 round-trip fuel surcharge for most domestic routes, and other major carriers are expected to soon follow suit.

Passengers of Delta Air Lines' international flights will soon be seeing lots of red tags.

Starting this weekend, the Atlanta-based airline is issuing the red tags to keep track of approved carry-on luggage.

Spokeswoman Betsy Talton says the purpose of the new plan is to maximize overhead compartment storage space for passengers.

She says there are no plans in the works to use the tags for domestic flights.

Delta officials will place the red tags on carry-on luggage at the check-in counter or the gate.

The airline currently allows each passenger to bring aboard one piece of luggage with total length, width and height dimensions of no more than 45 inches and a maximum weight of 40 pounds.

Passengers may also bring aboard another small item, such as a briefcase, purse or tote bag.

Protest against plans for a dolphinarium

"Dolphins belong in the open water and not in captivity to entertain people.
ORANJESTAD 09-05-2007 – In a letter to the editor, directed to the ministers of Milieu and Finance and Economic Affairs, respectively Booshi Wever and Nilo Swaen (both MEP) and to the owners of De Palm Tours, Giolina Henriquez of Aruba Marine Mammal Foundation (AMMF) asks to abandon the plans to create a dolphinarium on De Palm Island. The Dolphin Academy in Curacao is also involved in the plans.
